I work at a manufacturing facility doing vibratory finishing with up to 7 machines going at once in one room. (sometimes over 100Db) these are excellent with noise reduction, almost too good for general shop use.
Cons:
1. ear cups are too shallow in my opinion, maybe my ears just stick out a lot but I experience ear pain from the top part of the ear being pressed against the inside of the ear cup, it does have a nice mesh to soften it but is still hard plastic underneath.
2. The ear plugs are doing most of the work, and are quite lengthy and wiggle out over time, even when inserting them according to the directions in the manual and using the proper sized ear tips. When they do wiggle out you loose a significant portion of your hearing protection and have to re fit them in a loud environment. Also the shaft that the ear tip sits on is pretty long and sticks deep in your ears and can become uncomfortable very fast unless inserted just the correct way. Inner ear pressure can be very uncomfortable and painful when the shaft is off center and creates a point of constant pressure against your ear canal wall.
3. The whole "Choose both or just the in-ear or just the over-ear" thing is just not that feasible. With the tension that the coiled cable has from the factory, they just pull themselves from your ears from any convenient place to have the muffs placed around your head or neck that doesn't cover your ears. The only 2 ways this device makes sense to wear is over-ear with or without the in-ears.
Overall I really enjoy this product it has really spoiled me with the noise reduction in my work environment. The sound quality is much better than I anticipated especially when using the combination in and over-ear. This pair of ear muffs is much more convenient, higher decibel rating and better sound quality than wearing isotune in-ears with over-ear muffs on top for 9-10 hours a day, but not as comfortable.
I would purchase again if I needed to, and will recommend them to others. I would also pay for replacement ear cups that gave my ears a little more breathing room if I could.
My willingness to deal with the fact that they are less comfortable is based the noise reduction they provide, and, on our fixed break and lunch schedule at our facility, giving me reprieve 3 times a day.
72hrs of use at time of review. (4x10hrs/week, 1 hour a day split between 2 15min breaks and a 30min lunch not wearing them so, 2 weeks of use at 36hrs for 72 total hrs)
The seperate ear plug that needs to be inserted in your ear before the muff goes over top of your ears, is already too annoying.
Works well
I've tried them all. Name a brand, I own them. I mow with a zero turn and no headphones I've tried block the noise sufficiently to listen to music. Until now. These headphones actually block the mower noise and make it possible to listen to music. Only used them once, but I'm encouraged. Two issues I would note. First, putting the ear plugs in with the headphones on is a bit awkward. Second, the head strap on the headphones needs to be padded. Otherwise, I very satisfied so far!
I placed an order on4/28/26…today’s date is 05/09/26 and I have yet to receive my order. I don’t understand why it’s taking so long for my package to ship it’s literally less than 300 miles. Someone please give me answers !
